The federal 340B drug pricing program gives manufacturers an opportunity to provide outpatient drugs to eligible health care organizations and covered entities at discounted prices. Hear from our experts on the history and future of 340B, as well as the best compliance practices for your 340B operations. Topics include eligibility and registration, diversion, duplicate discount, program oversight, and an update on policy and legislation impacting the program.

Tim Mallett, RPh, 340B ACE, Vice President of Pharmacy 340Basis/340B Consultant for NACHC T&TA and Public Policy

Tim Mallett is a pharmacist and has been involved with the 304B program for nearly 18 years.  Currently he is employed at 340Basics as VP of Pharmacy Affairs. In this role he assists FQHCs with Third Party Administration service for their contract and in-house pharmacies, provides onsite 340B education for CHC staff and is responsible for setting up new in-house pharmacies for FQHCs.  He also works under contract with NACHC to provide consulting on 340B issues related to pharmacy operations and to advise on 340B public policy. Over the years, Tim has consulted FQHCs on pharmacy operations, 340B issues and pharmacy integration within their health centers and has also spoken at many national and state conferences. He was Director of Business Development for CHCs/340B with Cardinal Health for 2.5 years and assisted FQHCs in evaluating the placement of contract pharmacies within their buildings.

Prior to working at Cardinal, Tim spent 12 years as Director of Pharmacy at a large FQHC in Michigan. In addition to running the pharmacy, he also oversaw the clinic’s managed care, medical records, WIC, marketing, quality improvement (PCMH & MU) and LEAN (process improvement) during his tenure. Tim is still active at his clinic and fills in as needed at the pharmacy.

Joanne Preece, MPH, is the Director of Government and External Affairs at the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC). Joanne leads CCALAC’s policy, advocacy and external communication strategies. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her Master’s in Public Health, with a Public Health Policy emphasis, from the University of Southern California.

Rosie Jadidian, Pharm.D, Director of Pharmaceutical Services at the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC)

Rosie Jadidian, Pharm.D., is a California licensed pharmacist who has over 20 years of experience in health care, specifically pharmacy management in retail, community health centers and government settings. She has served as the Director of Pharmacy for one of the largest community health centers in the country. She is an expert at pharmacy & dispensary operations, including drug procurement such as 340B legality and maximizing program benefit, patient assistance programs, cost effective formulary development, and compliance audits.

Currently, she is the Director of Pharmaceutical Services for the Community Clinic of Los Angeles County (CCALAC). In addition, she is the Consultant Pharmacist to 36 clinics and performs quarterly dispensary audits to ensure compliance with California Board of Pharmacy laws and regulations. She currently serves on the Community Clinic Advisory Council for the Apexus Prime Vendor Program (PVP), CPCA, and the My Health Los Angeles Workgroup for Phase 2 Implementation. Rosie has an extensive background in preparing for outside agency audits such as California Board of Pharmacy, My Health Los Angeles, 3rd Party Plans, Joint Commission (Ambulatory Care), and DHS. She has consulted with over 100 clinics on dispensary operations and has performed desktop audits for covered entities with contract pharmacy arrangements. She has also partnered with Ramsell to perform 340B audits. Rosie holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the School of Pharmacy at the University of the Pacific, in Stockton California.
