The Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC) and our members share a common vision of a just and equitable Los Angeles, where all communities have the opportunity to flourish, free from health disparities and the factors that create them.

Community health centers are critical safety net organizations that deliver care to under-resourced communities. CCALAC provides community clinics in Los Angeles County with services and resources to offer the best care for every patient.

No on Prop 44

CCALAC joins a broad coalition of patients, health care providers, community leaders and more in opposing Proposition 44, a dangerous statewide ballot measure that will harm millions of patients by shutting down hundreds of community health clinics across the state and forcing clinics to cut back on vital patient services.

Health IT Summit

The Annual Health IT Summit brings together health care leaders and partners for a full day of connecting and learning innovative ways to use and optimize modern technology to enhance community well-being. Summit sessions delve into the pressing health IT challenges and priorities impacting community health centers today. Attendees include community health center executives and directors, as well as IT, health IT, quality improvement, and clinical staff. The Summit will be held October 8, 2026.

AmeriCorps Health Fellows Program

In partnership with California Volunteers and AmeriCorps, CCALAC places AmeriCorps Health Fellows at CCALAC member health centers across Los Angeles County. AmeriCorps Health Fellows serve full-time (1,700 hours). They will work in a variety of roles including: outreach, enrollment, health education, case management, and/or quality improvement. This program is ideal for recent high school and college graduates interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or those wanting to work and learn about healthcare and community health centers. Many of CCALAC’s past AmeriCorps members have gone on to successfully be admitted to medical school, graduate programs or have been hired by their host site. The 2026-2027 program is scheduled to begin in October 2026 – July 31, 2027.

Community Health Fellows Program

CCALAC is currently accepting applications for host sites for the 2026–2027 Community Health Fellows Program. This nine-month, full-time fellowship runs from September 2026 through June 30, 2027 and places passionate individuals at CCALAC member health centers to support projects that increase access to care and improve community health outcomes. Fellows complete 1,450 hours of service and receive ongoing support, training, and professional development throughout the program.
