Emergency Management

CCALAC Emergency Management Services Help Community Health Centers Respond Efficiently in the Event of a Disaster.

Staff at COVID Testing Mobile Clinic in Lynwood.

Community health centers across Los Angeles County are faced with all kinds of natural and man-made emergencies or disasters, while continuing to provide services to their patients. With a focus on education, training, and communication, CCALAC Emergency Management provides guidance to help community health centers respond efficiently in the event of any emergency.

Our role is to enhance disaster capability of Health Centers through staff training and information sharing, provision of appropriate supplies and equipment, and improved communication to provide efficient and effective triage and/or treatment to victims of disasters, terrorist events, or other public health emergencies.

The Emergency Management Team conducts site visits upon request to assist in the development of emergency plans and offer guidance with meeting regulatory and auditory requirements relevant to emergency management in community clinics.

  • Emergency Management Program

The Emergency Management Program, funded by the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response Hospital Preparedness Program, with support and cooperation from Los Angeles County’s Department of Health Services Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency, supports enrolled organizations to develop plans, procedures, and relationships that facilitate emergency management activities related to mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

Take advantage of CCALAC’s training and emergency communications resources to ensure Incident Command System (ICS) implementation and National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliance.

Participating clinics receive guidance on the development and fine-tuning of emergency operations plans, hazard vulnerability analyses, business continuity plans, drills, and exercises.
