Community Health Centers across Los Angeles County are faced with all kinds of natural and man-made emergencies or disasters, while continuing to provide services to their patients. With a focus on education, training, and communication, CCALAC Emergency Management provides guidance to help community health centers respond efficiently in the event of any emergency. Our role is to enhance disaster capability of Health Centers through staff training and information sharing, provision of appropriate supplies and equipment, and improved communication to provide efficient and effective triage and/or treatment to victims of disasters, terrorist events, or other public health emergencies.
The Emergency Management Team conducts site visits upon request to assist in the development of emergency plans and offer guidance with meeting regulatory and auditory requirements relevant to emergency management in community clinics.
