JEDI CREW
CCALAC invites member health center teams to participate in the JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Collaborative for Retention, Engagement, and Wellness (CREW). This program will bring together three to five member community health center teams to learn and discuss anti-racist approaches to recruitment, onboarding, retention and staff wellness as it relates to staff burnout, wellbeing, and the quality of care that we provide to our communities.
Each member health center participating in CREW will receive a one-time payment of $1,000 upon completion of the program.
Why Join JEDI CREW?
JEDI CREW will allow member health center teams to learn from one another while they test and implement anti-racist organizational strategies to improve workforce wellbeing and satisfaction. By participating in JEDI CREW, health center teams will learn from their peers; learn new and innovative research and evidence-informed practices; and demonstrate to their patients, staff, and community that their health center is actively engaged in efforts to integrate JEDI-based practices that promote staff well-being and quality of care.
Format
Sessions will be held virtually. There will be 10 sessions of didactic training throughout the program. These sessions will consist of one hour of didactic training with thirty minutes for questions and discussion. Discussions will allow teams to hear and share successes and lessons learned in implementing JEDI-informed workforce wellness and satisfaction interventions. Each health center team will schedule pre- and post-assessment sessions with a coach (provided by CCALAC) to track their team’s progress.
During orientation, teams will receive a packet of interventions and will be asked to identify and implement at least one intervention to integrate JEDI-based practices that increase staff satisfaction, wellness, and ultimately, retention within their organizations. Each team will also be assigned a coach to support the health center with their interventions over three coaching sessions.
Member Health Center Team Composition
Each health center team should include three to five members. Teams should be composed of at least one member health center leader (C-suite) and may also include directors and/or managers who oversee and support staff and others at your organization who are involved or invested in your workforce wellness and satisfaction efforts (e.g., workforce satisfaction committee members). Team members should have the authority to guide and implement interventions from the intervention packet.
