Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County

CPCA 2021 Day at the Capitol

California_State_Capitol_Building,_Sacramento,_CaliforniaThe CaliforniaHealth+ Advocates Day at the Capitol (DAC) is scheduled to take place virtually from Tuesday, May 25 through Thursday, May 27. DAC is an annual event that allows physicians, clinicians, directors, patients, and health center advocates to engage in dialogue with legislators and legislative staff about budget and legislative priorities impacting community health centers.

DAC is a critical opportunity for the voices of community health centers to unite and be heard. This advocacy event will consist of virtual legislative visits with key elected officials and their staff to emphasize the importance of clinics. CCALAC will coordinate these visits with the Los Angeles County state delegation.

In addition, each day you will have the opportunity to engage in a 1-hour social media campaign, Capitol Power Hour, to reinforce your message to electeds and educate the public about the important role community health centers play in their communities. CaliforniaHealth+ Advocates will provide a social media toolkit to registered members. Click here to view CaliforniaHealth+ Advocates’ 3-day program.
