Screening for ACEs in Specialty Clinical Areas

In this training participants will learn screening and intervention techniques in specialty clinical areas such as obstetrics, asthma, adult medicine, and emergency room settings. The training will examine specific considerations for each of the specialty areas and actionable steps. Finally, participants will learn why these specialty areas for screening have been identified and the clinical rationale behind the screening.

During the training, participants will:
• Review ACEs and toxic stress science
• Review rationale for screening in each of the specialty clinical areas
• Review adjunctive screening tools for specialty areas
• Learn key considerations for screening in specialty areas

Instructor biography:

Ms. Luckett started her Nursing career over 25 years ago, and is currently licensed in Texas as a Registered Nurse (RN). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University, with a focus in Not-for-profit Management and Leadership. She has worked for the Center for Youth Wellness since 2016, initially serving as the NPPC Coach, and currently as the Administrator of Clinical and Quality Operations. Ms. Luckett facilitates training and provides content expertise in the areas of ACEs screening implantation, practice workflow, scoring algorithms, EHR build, data capture reporting, and monitoring, and patient education best practices. Ms. Luckett owns Luckett Healthcare Consulting, LLC, and provides consultative services to hospitals, non-profits, and primary care clinics on quality improvement. She also works for The Joint Commission, a nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies more than 21,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. She provides consultative quality management assistance and programmatic reviews of specialized hospital programs across the US. She has also obtained multiple professional certifications:

❖ Just Culture Certification, 2011-current
❖ Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, 2011-2019
❖ Certified Asthma Educator, 2003-2010
❖ Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse, 1998-2003
