Incident Command System 100, 200, and 700

This course will provide foundational knowledge and skills necessary to understand and function within the National Incident Management System (NIMS) with the application of the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS). Incorporation of the Incident Command System (ICS)/Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) into community health centers enables cross-sector collaboration and support, including emergency resource requests and effective recovery procedures. This course is a one day training with two opportunities to attend. Participants may join us either on March 15 or March 16.
During this training, participants will:
- Learn fundamental approaches to emergency management.
- Learn the core concepts and principles of Incident Command System (ICS)/Hospital Incident Command System (HICS).
- Learn the components of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and how to ensure your healthcare center is NIMS compliant.
- Apply concepts learned to effectively respond in a disaster scenario.

Instructor Biography:
Rose Duong is CCALAC’s Senior Manager of Emergency Preparedness and Response. Prior to joining CCALAC Rose was a Public Health and School Liaison for COVID-19, providing technical assistance, training, communications and stakeholder engagement in Los Angeles to support the schools. Rose has a BA from UCLA in Women’s Studies and a minor in English and an MPH in Community Health Education from California State University Long Beach.
