Health Center PEP Findings with Capital Link
May 4, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until May 11, 2022
During this two-part training series, Capital Link will present findings from the Cedars-Sinai supported 2017-2020 CCALAC Performance Evaluation Profile (PEP) for the Los Angeles region as well as its 58 individual FQHC members, including the initial 2020 COVID-19 pandemic impact. Information will include trends in financial and operational performance, revenue/patients/FTE growth, productivity, and payer mix. We will also review newly tracked metrics in the PEP report such as patient characteristics, health outcome and disparities, and staffing ratios.
In session two, Capital Link will delve deeper into performance benchmarking techniques, with a review of Capital Link’s benchmarking toolkit, which will be distributed to all participants. The session will include distribution of 2020 median metrics and ratios for FQHCs in Los Angeles, CA, and nationally, providing context for comparisons and goal-setting. Instructors will provide an overview of how key metrics are calculated, covering newer PEP-report metrics on health disparities and staffing ratios, as well as traditional ones such as financial metrics and guidelines for health centers.
