Evaluating Health Center Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

Complimentary for CCALAC MembersThis one-hour training will guide participants through the process of evaluating their health center’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the end of the training, participants will receive an electronic After-Action Report/Improvement Plan Template custom designed for health centers.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Evaluate their current emergency plan in action and identify any gaps
• Create targeted actions to improve preparedness at their health facility
• Conduct a mid-response evaluation of their health center’s ongoing COVID-19 response and implement immediate actions/changes identified

Instructor Biography:
Rebecca Miah is an Emergency Preparedness and Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Training Specialist at Americares. With a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, Rebecca has professional experience in emergency preparedness and response, and is FEMA certified in the Incident Command System. Prior to joining Americares, she was the Logistics Coordinator for the Bioterrorism & Public Health Preparedness Program at the Philadelphia Health Department and worked closely with the Office of Emergency Management during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to manage response activities.
