With open enrollment underway in this uniquely challenging COVID-19 environment, it is more important than ever to ensure patients and community members have the assistance they need to enroll in and retain health coverage. Enrollment staff are invited to join their peers for an in-service session led by Maternal and Child Health Access’ expert training team. The Enrollment Refresher Training is intended for experienced enrollers and will cover: Medi-Cal flexibilities and policy changes due to COVID-19; recent and upcoming program changes (MCAP, pregnancy Medi-Cal, post-partum mental health coverage, Aged & Disabled Program); and strategies for application trouble-shooting and advocacy.

Enrollers will have an opportunity to discuss any issues and challenges they are experiencing and share best practices and strategies for providing enrollment assistance during COVID-19.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Understand upcoming policy changes impacting Medi-Cal eligibility and coverage.
• Gain tools to more effectively advocate for their clients.
• Learn about important COVID-19 protections and coverage flexibilities for California Residents.
