Instructor Biographies:

Carlos Lanese, Senior Workforce Manager & South Los Angeles AHEC Center Director, CCALAC.

 Carlos Lanese serves as the Senior Workforce Manager at the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC), where he leads initiatives to strengthen the healthcare workforce by guiding students and emerging professionals in their career development. Carlos oversees all workforce initiatives  including retention, wellness and employee development training. Connecting education institutions with community health centers to help mitigate social drivers of health create and a strong heath care workforce is a passion of his. With over 15 years of experience in workforce management and admissions, Carlos has held key roles, including Director of Outreach and Admissions at Job Corps and Regional Director of Admissions at various educational institutions. His expertise spans coaching and mentoring, career counseling, and skill development, making him a seasoned leader in workforce training. 

Carlos’s commitment to empowering individuals through education and hands-on learning experiences aligns with his passion for helping students navigate career pathways, particularly in the healthcare sector. His focus on fostering clear communication, mentorship, and practical skill development has contributed significantly to the success of countless students entering the workforce.
