Cybersecurity Toolkit Training

FreeThe Cybersecurity Toolkit Training aims to equip staff at community health centers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively navigate and utilize the tools and resources included within the toolkit. The toolkit aims to enhance the overall security posture of our member health centers, which includes implementing the necessary policies and procedures, best practices for safeguarding sensitive data, and mitigating potential cyber threats.
By the end of the sessions, attendees will:
- Discover the security and IT vendors utilized by other health center members, including cost and overall ratings.
- Learn about the cybersecurity policies, procedures, and frameworks you will want to consider implementing within your organization.
- Understand the security regulations and compliance programs that may apply to your organization.
- Find a plethora of vetted resources, including other toolkits, that can assist you in your journey to a more secure environment.

Instructor Biography:
Candice Rowland is the Manager of HIT and Cybersecurity Programs at CCALAC. She has been with CCALAC for almost 12 years and within the Health IT Division for over 10 years. Her passion for cybersecurity developed as she was exposed to discussions and trainings provided to members on the topic. She quickly realized how important cybersecurity awareness is to anyone that uses a computer, but how little it was actually reaching all staff. In 2022, she received her GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) Certification. Candice has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Valley State University.
