Tuesdays, March 18 – April 15, 2025

9:00 am – 11:30 am

This intensive and highly interactive 5-week virtual training enables community health center managers and supervisors to gain crucial skills needed to successfully lead and manage employees in today’s challenging and fast-changing health center environment.

Participants gain and strengthen skills to:

  • Develop and retain engaged, productive and satisfied teams.
  • Utilize Behavioral Interviewing to hire the right staff for long-term success.
  • Coach and develop employees.
  • Communicate effectively as a manager.
  • Avoid common legal pitfalls when managing employees.
  • Create and sustain a culture of customer service.
  • Drive accountability and deliver results.

Who should attend:

This “Core Competencies” training is recommended for managers and supervisors with 18 months or less of supervisory experience AND more experienced managers seeking to refresh and hone their skills!

Course format:

Using the Zoom online conferencing platform, we replicate the “face-to-face” experience without having to travel! Throughout the program, participants gain knowledge and skills, work in large and small groups, participate in hands-on exercises, and discuss crucial issues in engaging, managing, and retaining health center staff. We also incorporate short, weekly implementation “homework” to encourage putting new skills into immediate action.
