Core Competencies for CHC Managers and Supervisors Training Series

An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Friday, repeating until May 12, 2023
This intensive and highly interactive 5-week virtual training enables CHC managers and supervisors to develop and hone critical skills to successfully lead and manage employees in today’s challenging and fast-changing health center environment.
Participants learn to:
- Manage, lead and retain engaged, productive and satisfied teams
- Coach and develop employees and drive accountability
- Utilize Behavioral Interviewing to hire employees with the right skills and fit for the
- long-term
- Communicate for results
- Avoid common legal pitfalls when managing employees
- Create and sustain a culture of customer service
Who should attend?
This “Core Competencies” training is recommended for managers and supervisors with 18 months or less of supervisory experience OR more experienced managers seeking a refresher.
Course Format:
Using Zoom video conferencing, we replicate the “face-to-face” experience — without the travel! Throughout the 5 sessions, participants gain knowledge and skills, work together in large and small breakout groups, participate in hands-on exercises, and discuss crucial issues in engaging, managing and retaining health center staff.
Time Commitment:
This 5-week training will be held each Friday morning, April 14 – May 12, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:30. Participants should plan to attend all sessions.
Important note: Each participant will need a webcam to join this virtual “face-to-face” training (one participant per device). If access to a computer with a webcam is not available, Zoom has an excellent app and participants may join via tablet or phone with video capability.

Instructor Biography:
Lisa Mouscher is CEO and Lead Trainer at Sogence Training and Consulting. As a popular and dynamic facilitator, trainer and consultant, Lisa works primarily with managers and staff from Federally Qualified Health Centers and other Community Health Centers across the country. She specializes in two areas of focus: strengthening the management and supervisory skills of health center managers at all levels, and assisting health centers to create a culture of customer service. Lisa brings her extensive background in management, training and human resources to her work with community health organizations and is known for facilitating immediately applicable results as well as lasting impact to strengthen these organizations for the long term.
