Change Management: Creating Equitable Community Health Centers
March 19 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
$75Change is hard, but constant, and even more so in our current environment. For decades, organizations have strived to “get it right,” but the truth is, two thirds of change initiatives fail. Creating impactful change is hard, and changing organizational culture is harder. This training intends to provide a road map to community health centers interested in bridging the gap between intentional and real change. It recognizes that any cultural change requires a movement that pushes through barriers, is informed, and recognizes the “why.” Further, it will integrate Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) as opportunities to grow our self-awareness and emotional intelligence as critical components of change management.
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
- Understand why people resist change, recognize roadblocks and navigate uncomfortable situations.
- Learn communications skills that improve team cohesion, allow for open discussion and facilitate the change process.
- Discover ways to overcome resistance and build confidence and comfort for effective implementation of new initiatives.
