CCALAC is proud to announce a CCALAC Leadership Training Series: Leading into the Future for health center professionals. The 3-session training intends to equip community health center staff with the skills necessary to seek professional advancement. Or, affirm existing skills that support daily operations within your organization. Registrants can attend one session or all three.

Session 2: Developing New Managers & Supervisors

Stepping into management can feel a little like learning to ride a bike—exciting, wobbly at times, and way easier with the right guidance. This training session is designed to help new managers and supervisors build confidence, sharpen their leadership skills, and create positive momentum with their teams. We’ll skip the boring textbook approach and instead dive into the real-world challenges you’ll face—like navigating tough conversations, motivating people when energy is low, and discovering your own leadership style that feels natural instead of forced.
In this training, you’ll gain practical tools you can put to work right away—communication strategies that actually connect with today’s teams, confidence to handle tricky situations without second-guessing yourself, and a simple roadmap for building trust, accountability, and results. Leading people is one of the most rewarding (and sometimes challenging) jobs you’ll take on—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Together, we’ll make the leap from “new boss” to inspiring leader—and have some fun along the way.
