Health center outreach and enrollment staff are invited to join their peers for an in-service session led by Maternal Child Health Access’ expert training team. This session is intended for experienced enrollers and will provide an overview of the following:  

• Medi-Cal Program Eligibility (MAGI and Non-MAGI) & Annual Redeterminations  
• Covered California Open Enrollment & Program Changes  
• ACA Eligibility for DACA Recipients (Effective Nov. 1)  
• Children’s Presumptive Eligibility & Newborn Gateway (Effective as of July 1)  
• Medi-Cal Access Program & Pregnancy Medi-Cal  
• Kaiser Permanente Community Health Care Program  
• LA County Ability to Pay Program  
• Public Charge (pending presidential election results)   

By attending this course, participants will be able to: 

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of policy changes impacting Medi-Cal eligibility and coverage.  
• Gain tools to more effectively advocate for the communities they serve.  
• Learn strategies to identify and address common enrollment issues impacting their patients/clients.
