2026 Symposium Abstract Call
Thank you for your interest in presenting a session at the 25th Annual Southern California Health Care Symposium. Save the date; the event is taking place Friday, April 10, 2026, at The Westin Anaheim Resort.
We’re looking for speakers to present strategies, innovations and best practices that can help community health center leaders, staff, and advocates advance health equity and health care transformation in their communities. Our members and partners want to learn from you on an array of topics, see the list below. We look forward to receiving your proposal!
Submission Details
Each session is slated for 60 to 90 minutes, including Q&A, and will have no more than three presenters. Please include all information in the online submission form or attachment and submit it no later than Friday, October 31, 2025, to have your session considered.
2026 Session Tracks
Proposals related to the following areas will be considered. The selection committee will pay particular attention to abstracts that include and reflect best practices for community health centers and those that include a CCALAC member or affiliate. Sessions may not include sales or marketing of products or services.
- Clinical Services – Screenings, Clinical Competency, Community Health Workers (CHWs), Mental Health, Infant and Maternal Mortality (Birthing Justice), People Living with Chronic Illness (e.g., Hypertension, Diabetes, etc.), Sexual Reproductive Health (HIV, STIs, etc.), Telehealth
- Emergency Management – Disaster Recovery, Emergency Preparedness, Mental Health for First Responders, Building Organizational Resilience
- Operations – Compliance, Billing and Coding, Alternative Payment Models, CalAIM, Organizational Sustainability, Trauma-informed Care and Resilience, Program Development and Sustainability, Finance
- Policy and Advocacy – Homelessness, Alternative Payment Methodologies, Payment Reform, Managed Care Reform, Workforce
- Quality Improvement – Evaluation, Data Governance and Management, Data Exchange, Practice Transformation, Innovation, Compliance, Data Collection, Delivering Care with Cultural Humility
- Population Health – Food Insecurity, Housing, Transportation, Risk Stratification, Material Poverty, Homelessness, Street Medicine, Addressing Clinical Challenges for Under-resourced Populations
- Transformation – Clinical Workflows, Policies and Procedures, Medi-Cal Initiatives (e.g., Alternative Payment Methodology, Value Based Care and Medi-Cal Expansion)
- Workforce – Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Equitable Compensation, Wellness Programs, Recruitment and Retention, Leadership and Employee Resilience, Leadership Development, Workforce Pipeline Development
- Poster Presentations – Share your best practices and research without a full session. Highlight your programmatic successes while networking during the event.
- Other – If you have a great idea for a session that does not fall into one of the above categories, please submit your idea!
