Join CCALAC, Jordan Berg and Calvin Ross from Telehealth Technology Assessment Center (TTAC), and Emilia Ochoa-Ruiz from California Telehealth Resource Center (CTRC) for an engaging and practical webinar focused on evaluating healthcare AI vendors. As artificial intelligence solutions continue to emerge across the healthcare landscape, organizations are challenged with determining which tools align with their operational, clinical, and strategic goals.

This session will provide actionable guidance, best practices, and real-world examples to help healthcare leaders confidently assess AI solutions, ask the right questions of vendors, and identify technologies that address meaningful organizational challenges. Participants will leave with a practical framework for evaluating healthcare AI vendors and making informed technology decisions that support sustainable adoption and measurable impact.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key considerations and best practices when evaluating healthcare AI vendors and solutions.
  • Develop effective questions to assess vendor capabilities, governance, security, interoperability, and implementation readiness.
  • Evaluate AI solutions based on organizational needs, workflows, and desired outcomes rather than vendor claims alone.
  • Recognize common risks and challenges associated with healthcare AI adoption and strategies to mitigate them.
  • Apply a practical framework for selecting AI technologies that address real-world clinical, operational, and access-related challenges.

Presented by Emilia Ochoa-Ruiz, MS, PMP, Program Director and Manager, CTRC (California Telehealth Resource Center), Jordan Berg, Principal Investigator for the Telehealth Technology Assessment Center (TTAC), Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and Calvin Michael Ross, Technology Specialist for the Telehealth Technology Assessment Center, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.
